Martin Lande House – 1970

137-47 45th Avenue, Flushing, NY 11355

Opened in 1970, the Martin Lande House was the second affordable housing development built by Selfhelp. The original residents came mainly from Germany and Austria at first, then later from Eastern Europe and the former Soviet republics. Today, Flushing is a flourishing Chinese-American community and many residents of Martin Lande are Korean and Chinese. The building has 19 floors and contains 289 apartments.

More on COVID-19

At Selfhelp, we’re hopeful that vaccinations will reduce the spread of COVID-19. We’ve advocated on behalf of our clients, supporting them in planning and scheduling for their vaccines.

In February 2021, we were proud to partner with the Charles B Wang Community Health Center (CBWCHC). With CBWCHC, we opened a vaccination site from our Benjamin Rosenthal Senior Center in Flushing, Queens.

For more information on the vaccine, visit COVID-19 – NYC Health.
