This month, Selfhelp Community Services has hosted events for older adults across Queens at each of their five Queens Older Adult Centers (OACs) in honor of National Older Americans Month.

Selfhelp Community Services, a leading organization dedicated to supporting Holocaust survivors and older adults, presents the 13th year of its annual Witness Theater program, a one-of-a-kind and deeply moving intergenerational initiative that brings Holocaust survivors and high school students together to share and dramatize stories of survival.

Kaplan in response to the dismantling of the Administration for Community Living (ACL) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and its impact on older adults and people with disabilities.

This afternoon, Ming Hwa Lee, a longtime resident of Clearview Older Adults Center, celebrated her 101st birthday alongside community members and local elected officials. She received proclamations from the offices of multiple local elected officials who have supported the Clearview Adults Center, including Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, NYS Assemblyman Edward Braunstein, NYS Senator Toby Stavisky, and NYC Councilwoman Vicky Paladino.
