Council Member Phil Wong has announced that he has secured $22.7 million in capital and expense funding for Council District 30 as part of the Fiscal Year 2027 Adopted Budget, which includes over $20 million in capital investments for long-term improvements to schools, libraries, parks and streets.

In celebration of its 90th anniversary, Selfhelp Community Services held an event honoring 90 older adults turning 90 years of age in 2026 on Monday, April 27, at the Benjamin Rosenthal–Prince Street Older Adult Center, located at 45-25 Kissena Blvd. in Flushing.

The NYC Aging Commissioner, Dr. Lisa Scott-McKenzie, visited the Selfhelp Community Services Center in Maspeth on Friday, March 13, during a citywide tour of older adult facilities, where she heard directly from senior residents and learned about available services.
