Home Care Program
Selfhelp Community Services is committed to providing quality home care services that enable New Yorkers to live as independently and safely in their homes as possible. Our not-for-profit program, licensed and certified by the NYS Department of Health, employs over 1,000 dedicated aides delivering more than 2 million hours annually with a wide variety of support such as skilled nursing assistance or daily chores like bathing grooming, housekeeping – all tailored around individual needs. Our unique combination of home and community–based programs provides individuals receiving home care additional resources to support their wellbeing.

HOME HEALTH AIDE TRAINING PROGRAM
Selfhelp’s Home Health Aide (HHA) and Personal Care Aide (PCA) training programs are approved by the New York State Department of Health and are provided free of charge. Students attend core curriculum trainings in the classroom, and then progress to the laboratory to learn clinical skills, and conclude with field training in clients’ homes.
